I was so thrilled that I got to attend Timo Weiland's Men's Fall/Winter 2014 collection at the beginning of New York fashion week.  Obviously I love reviewing women's collections but I love, love, love when I get to go and check out stuff for the guys (I love looking at things that I can wear)!

The concept of Love seemed to inspire several designers this season but Timo and his team were inspired by a different kind of love.  Weiland's Fall 2014 Collection drew on his design teams New York design concept, and built upon their new inspiration of modern love.  The influence of modern love in the collection was encompassed by a photograph, taken by artist Kelly Shimoda, entitled "I guess you don't want to talk to me anymore."  The photo is of a text message, in the screen of an old flip phone, from a flame hoping to resolve a lover's quarrel.  To the designers, this moment translated to strategically placed stripes, muted, checker plaid patterns, well-placed leather detailing and cool, complimenting colors to encompass the emotions of a New York weekend.

Let's take a look at some of my favorite pieces from the presentation!

This look is so chic and effortless looking.  I love nothing more than effortless style! I heard Timo say at the presentation that he is really into dressing up streetwear right now and I am totally on board with that decision!

This is another look that conveys effortless style.  I tell so many guys that it is super easy to look stylish these days.  Guys who are looking to elevate their wardrobe but may be nervous about it should look up Timo's stuff.  It is a great place to start!

This is a great Fall/Winter brunch look guys!  I am also loving the shoes which is no surprise since they are an OJ&B favorite, Clarks

Nothing like a purple pant to spice up your Fall/Winter wardrobe.  You know I am a sucker for a pop of color!  There are so many ways to work color into your ensemble and this is a really great way to do so.  Purple is huge on the Fall/Winter 2014 runways.

I love this casual yet cool look of this outfit.  Be careful how you do the "one side of the dress shirt tucked in and one side of the dress shirt tucked out" look.  It can come across as sloppy if you do not know what you are doing.  Follow Timo's example and you will be fine.

I love this sweater and jacket and these models.  The return of the bucket hat is something that I am not sure you I am ready for or could pull off but if you are a male model then I suppose that it is OK.  All I could think of is guys wearing these in all of my fave 90's teen movies.  Where is Freddie Prince Jr.?

The Highline Hotel was an excellent choice to have the presentation.  It is now one of my favorite venues in NYC!

Timo knows how to pick excellent venues as last night the designer and his team threw their Fall/Winter 2014 after party at Bar Nana in NYC's hot and trendy Meatpacking District.  I had a chance to congratulate Timo and shake his hand and the humble designer was very appreciative.  The venue, drinks, atmosphere and music went along perfectly with Timo's effortlessly cool vibe.
