alice + olivia & David Choe Host A Night Of Fashion, Art And Disco Dancing

On Wednesday, November 20, 2013 NYC's fashion set celebrated alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet and David Choe's capsule collection (hitting stores this spring) in the Meatpacking District just steps away from Alice + Olivia's MPD store.  

The evening was filled with fashion, a burlesque performance, disco dancing, an interactive glow-in-the-dark backlight paint room and music by DJ Hannah Bronfman. The night also celebrated the launch of Stacey Bendet's "Kindness Project" which is a company wide initiative committed to sharing and spreading messages of love and happiness with the world.  

I had a blast at this event and I have to say that it was one of the better parties that I have been to this year!  There were several different themed rooms, lots of fashion installations, and plenty of drinks to imbibe on.  It was one of those parties were you experience something different depending on what area of the party you are in and, no matter where you were, you still had fun.

alice + olivia Founder and Creative Director Stacey Bendet and renowned artist David Choe collaborated to create a capsule collection adorned with Choe's distinctive and inspiring "A Woman and a Monkey" painting. Depicting a woman with a monkey perched atop her colorful and abstract gown, the piece has become the global symbol of the brand's "Kindness Project."  The image will appear on a shift dress, full skirt and an intricately beaded ball gown as part of alice + olivia's Spring 2014 collection.

One of the most popular rooms of the night had to have been the room with the glow-in-the-dark backlight paint.  It was a photog's dream for amazingly cool and funky photos like the one above! 

Dj Hannah Bronfman did an amazing job with the music for the party!

David Choe and Stacey Bendet dawned colorful and festive outfits to the party (you know I love color). I was obsessed with Stacey's amazing green jacket! Perfect for this chilly NYC weather.
