About every other Friday or so my status updates on my social media has been lyrics to country songs from the 1990's.  Things like "I might have been born just plain white trash, but Fancy was a my name," and "blame it on your lying, cheating, cold dead beatin', two time a double dealing, me mistreating loving heart," have graced my Facebook and Twitter accounts accumulating comments and likes from my friend back home in Texas.  Some people have wondered why I have been on an old school country kick lately and it is all due to the Flaming Saddles Saloon in Hell's Kitchen , NYC!

In February I hosted a Tweetheart Tweet Up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week's Fall 2012 Season. 

I was thrilled that two of my favorite people, Jena Gambaccini and Cesar Gaviria came out to support and have fun!  Jena is the creator of one of the hottest fashion blog online, ChiCityFashion.com and is the go to authority for style in Chicago!  Cesar is a New york City stylist who has styled shows for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week as well as clients like Sonja Tremont-Morgan from the Real Housewives of NYC.

I was so happy that I had the chance to interview them and get their expert opinion on what would be hot for Fall 2012!  This video comes in handy right now as Summer is fading away and Fall is showing no signs of slowing down.

Major Moments In Robert Graham!

In February of this year I was invited to Robert Graham's Fall 2012 presentation not really knowing what to expect.  I knew there was going to be menswear (we all know I love going to see things that I can actually wear) but I did not know that I was going to fall in love with the brand!

The presentation was at the Jimmy at the James hotel and I remember that as soon as the clothes came out everything started to happen for me!  I loved the subtle details of the clothes and I loved how the pieces ranged from bright and fun to more toned down and professional.  I knew I HAD to get some pieces!  After the show I got in touch with appropriate RG people and made an appointment for the show room.  I knew there was something about the pieces that I loved and it was at the show room where I learned exactly what it was.

Robert Graham's clothing is unique in that every piece has subtle and sometimes not so subtle details.  If you take a close look at one of Robert's dress shirts there are hidden patterns and unique buttons that are only for that one shirt.  The blazers are on another level when it comes to menswear.  The lining is always different for each blazer as well as super stunning and the fit and comfort is beyond!  I guess I like the clothes because they fit my aesthetic which is wearing classic pieces with a twist.  My favorite Robert Graham item is their two panel bow ties.  Each part of the bow tie is a different pattern and sometimes color giving you tons of different ways to pair them with your dress shirts. 

Ever since I  discovered Robert Graham the brand has become a part of so many major moments in my life.  I wanted to recap and share these moments with my guys and gals so here we go; my major moments in Robert Graham!

The Two E Bar/Lounge at The Pierre Hotel is the perfect place to start OJ&B's City Stops!  The Pierre Hotel has always offered me a place of luxury without the snotty attitude ever since I moved to the city in 2010.  Recently, I took my Mom and my Aunt to Two E in the Pierre Hotel during their first visit to NYC to try Two E's Afternoon Tea.

The Spice Girls spiced up everyone's night when they had a reunion performance for the 2012 London Olympic games closing ceremony. 
The girls came into the arena in light up British taxis and started out the show with the single that made them an instant sensation in the 90's "Wannabe."  The best part of the show was when they got on top of platforms attached to the taxis and began singing "Spice Up Your Life." The cars zoomed around the arena and the Girls worked it harder than an America's Next Top Model contestant in a challenge that Tyra pretended she made up.

Once Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week happens the thing on everyone's mind is trends, trends, trends!  People want to know what the hot new trend for the upcoming season will be that all of the "in the know" fashionistas will be wearing.  The funny thing is that by the time that season comes the fashion world has already moved on to the season after that.

Right now everyone in the fashion world is gearing up for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to show the Spring/Summer 2013 collections in September, but you may be asking, "what the heck am I suppose to wear when Fall 2012 HAPPENS?!"

For so many athletes winning an Olympic Gold medal would be the ultimate achievement and fashion accessory in their careers.  Winning an Olympic gold medal says that you are the best and strongest at your event.  It can also mean huge endorsements and life changing opportunities for some athletes.

This past Saturday, Entertainment Tonight aired a one hour special called Going for the Gold.  The special looked at the history of the Olympic Gold Medal and discussed what the medals are actually made of.  I know that I am not the only one who has wondered if they are actually made of gold so I found this really cool!

I loved that they broke everything down and even showed actual gold medals from 1912. ET's corespondent Christina McLarty took a tour of Goldsmith's Hall and got to look at extraordinary gold pieces spanning 4,500 years.  The fact that items last that long just blows my mind! I also think it is great because gold seems to be on a huge comeback in the fashion world and you know I am all about a good gold accessory!
