Sarah Charness and Official Hank To Play At OJ&B's 1st Birthday Party!

I am thrilled to announce that the talented violinist, Sarah Charness, and the hot new singing sensation, Official Hank, will be performing at Orange Juice And Biscuit's 1st Birthday Party hosted by designer Rolando Santana! The two of them are going to bring the party to another level!

Sarah Charness has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, New York City Town Hall and the Kennedy Center as a member of the Chamber Orchestra of New York and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas. Sarah became a member of Trans-Siberian Orchestra for their 2010 spring tour and has backed up top recording artists like Roger Daltry of the Who, Sarah Brightman, and British pop singer Mika. She has even opened for the LEGENDARY Diana Ross at the dedication of the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium! Sarah also solos regularly at fashion shows in New York, including Vera Wang, Betsy Johnson, and Pronovias. The release of her first song, “Pink Swan”, features her fluorescent pink seven-string electric violin and is nothing short of amazing!

I am so excited about Sarah performing at OJ&B's party! I love going to events and seeing and hearing something different and epic! I think she will make OJ&B's 1st Birthday Party very memorable!

Above: The lovely and talented Sarah Charness and her fierce fluorescent pink seven-string electric violin.

Official Hank dove into the competitive New York theater scene, landing roles in dozens of shows, including Hello, Dolly! with Sally Struthers, the national tour of Evita, and three seasons of Cabaret. A chance meeting with songwriter/producer Heather Holley of Elicit Music (who is best known for developing Christina Aguilera) led to the creation of his dance anthem “Feel Good,” recorded at Grammy-winning Itaal Shur’s Boom Boom Room Studio. Hank is currently in the studio recording and remixing additional material and preparing to launch a US club tour.

I am excited to have Official Hank perform at OJ&B's Party as I truly feel that he is going to take off in a huge way very soon (You know OJ&B is known for setting trends and finding people on their climb to the top)! I LOVE hank's song "Feel Good" as it often gets stuck in my head as I am walking around in NYC.

Above: Official Hank about to Blow Up!

I am honored that these two talents will be performing at OJ&B's 1st Birthday Bash Hosted by Rolando Santana! I am so glad that they are joining the fun and I cannot wait to see what they pull of of their bag of tricks.

PLEASE go and check out Sarah Charness and her amazing music at her official website SarahCharness.com. You also Have to go to Official Hank's Official site, OfficialHank.com , and listen to my jam, "Feel Good!" You can also learn how you can help Hank make is first album a la Kickstarter.com!

Kelly Rutherford, Olivia Palermo and Jamie-Lynn Sigler Take Time Out For Timex at Henri Bendal!

Orange Juice and Biscuits attended the launch of Timex Originals at Henri Bendel on August 19, 2010 along with celebrity guests Kelly Rutherford, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Olivia Palermo.

Henri Bendel’s Fifth Avenue window-shop will feature the collection, a series of “remixed” designs from the brand’s storied archives. The watches really do take you back in time with their vintage looks. The collection includes Timex stalwarts such as the Easy Reader and Camper styles, which have been reinvented for a contemporary audience in a new, oversized format and fashion-forward colors(Some of the colorful watches took me all the way back to my elementary school days).

Olivia Palermo was wearing the Timex Originals Easy Reader with brown metallic strap while Kelly Rutherford was spotted sporting the Timex Originals 1940s Inspiration with a black face and green canvas strap. Jamie-Lynn Sigler loved the Oversized Gold Digital and so did I!!

Above: I am loving throwback Timex watch that I got from the event! I am all about gold, gold, gold for fall!

The Originals collection will be available at the Timex Street of Shops on Henri Bendel’s first floor through August 30th.

Keeping Up With Khloe And Lance Bass In The Hammies!

This past weekend, SWAGG, a new mobile application set to launch later this year held an exclusive event in the VIP tent at the coveted Mercedes-Benz Polo Challenge. The tent was visited by “Keeping Up With the Kardashian’s” slash "Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami" star, Khloe Kardashian-Odom, former N*Sync star, Lance Bass, celebrity chef, Bobbie Flay and his wife, actress Stephanie March.

Above: Lance Bass and Khloe Kardashian chatting and laughing at the SWAGG event in Bridgehampton. I totally need to be in the conversation.

SWAGG is Firethorn’s direct-to-consumer offering, with “smart” technology that gives consumers the ability to purchase, personalize and exchange gift cards directly from a mobile device.

I still have not made it out to the Hammies yet BUT the summer is not over yet! As soon as it happens you can expect the most epic post! Enjoy the end of the summer OJ&bers!

cityhouse: Manhattan's New Dining Experience

Manhattan’s sleek new contemporary steakhouse, cityhouse, has opened its doors at the Park Central Hotel, offering a diverse menu of modern American classics. cityhouse is located near Central Park, just steps away from Carnegie Hall, and is a great spot for power business lunches, chic dinners and pre-theater dining. The restaurant offers prix fixe menus for both lunch and dinner. Recently OJ&B had the chance to taste what cityhouse has to offer. Let's dig in!

To start off we had a lovely hamachi tartare made with citrus ponzu, nari, salmon roe and kabayaki sauce that was paired with junmai ginjo genshu sake. I loved how each course was paired with the perfect beverage. It allowed you to remain on a taste pallet that did not contradict or change to throw you off-gaurd.

The first course that I selected was a refreshing tri-melon salad that had summer melon, mint, purple asil, feta cheese and lemon dressing. Usually I am not a big feta fan but I was loving the way it tasted paired with the summer melon and lemon sauce. I felt like it was the perfect summer dish. It was very fresh and had a light taste with a zing of tanginess. The tri-melon salad was paired with a nice grenache rose.

Above: The colorful and refreshing tri-melon salad from cityhouse.

For the second course I selected the Thai influenced braised short rib with crispy summer mushrooms and potatoes au gratin. I LITERALLY just got hungry as I typed that sentence, no joking AT ALL! The ribs were very tender and tasted amazing. I loved the potatoes au gratin as well combined with the mushrooms. It was three of my favorite things all in one. This dish was paired with a cabernet sauvignon.

Above: Delicious Thai influenced braised short ribs.

The last but certainly most important part of the meal was dessert! I chose the fresh berry cobbler with warm berry coulis served with strawberry gelato. I love a good cobbler! It just reminds me of a home cooked meal. It tasted delicious and went very well with the strawberry gelato. The dessert was served with Moet and Chandon imperial rose. There is nothing better than finishing off a good meal with a nice glass of champagne. It is like celebrating your amazing meal!!

Above: Dessert is the best part, right?

Kudos to Executive Chef, Fabio Capparelli, a budding culinary talent, formerly of the acclaimed BLT Steak at the Ritz-Carlton in Westchester, who has crafted innovative signature plates for his latest venture, cityhouse. Thank you Fabio and cityhouse for a wonderful meal!

Garnier Backyard BBQ: Garnier Shows New Products On Empire Hotel Rooftop!

I went to the top of the Empire Hotel to check out Garnier's new products during their Backyard BBQ on Tuesday, August 10, 2010. I have been a long time user of Garnier products so I was excited to go see what they were cooking up. The team at Garnier took me through everything from skin care to hair products for women and men. I am going to start with the men's products first so fellas pay attention (Let's be honest, LADIES tell your man about this stuff HAHA).

Garnier has a new line for men called Survivor made with cactus extract that locks in moisture and locks out the elements. I was surprised with these products because they do not have the classic fruity smell of most Garnier products. I think men will respond well to Survivor because it smells clean and masculine without having an overbearing scent. I love products that just smell fresh and clean. Also, Survivor is very light and not heavy and sticky like a lot of hair products. I got hands on with a lot of the Garnier products so I know from experience (I will go there for my readers). The best thing about Survivor is when the guy presenting the products told me that you can basically go and get crunk in the club and not look like a hot heated mess at the end of the night (OK, so I paraphrased a bit). He did say that it would allow you to keep your hair in tact which can help you seal the deal at the end of the night. Maybe they should call it City Survivor?

Above: Garnier's new hair product line, Survivor, for Men.

Another great thing that Garnier has is a line of dandruff shampoo for men. Let's face it, a lot of guys have problems with dry scalp. Again, these products have a clean smell that doesn't smell feminine or like a typical dandruff shampoo.

Above: Garnier's new line of anti-dandruff shampoo that touts 48 hour dandruff control.

Now for the ladies, Garnier has a new color shield system with two new ingredients, acai berry and grape seed oil, that will keep your color bold for up to 45 washes. It smells amazing too!

Above: Garnier's New Color Shield System shampoos and conditioners.

One of the products that seemed to stand out and that I have heard people rave about is Garnier's second generation 2-in-1 eye roller with concealer. This product helps to correct dark circles under the eye and I have heard that it feels amazing too. The product contains caffeine and lemon essence which helps with the circles under the eyes. The woman who was telling me about the eye roller told me that her BOYFRIEND even uses it in the morning and he loves it because it helps him look refreshed. The product touts that the sheer tint blends into most skin tones and I actually saw it blend very well into two different skin tones at the event.

Above: Garnier's 2-in-1 eye roller with concealer.

The great thing about all of these products is that they fall in a very reasonable price range and they have a lot of research behind them. I will be sure to let you guys know via Twitter how I like the men's products so be sure to follow me for updates! Smelling all of these great products makes me want to jump in the shower right now. Thanks for showing me all of the new products Garnier and thanks for the amazing food as well!

Above: What is a backyard BBQ without burgers? These mini cheeseburgers from the Empire Hotel were beyond delicious. Probably one of the best burgers that I have ever eaten and I do NOT play when it comes to saying food is good!

Fashion's Night Out Kick-Off Press Conference Was Fiercest Press Conference Ever!

NEW YORK - AUGUST 11: (L-R) Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour, designer Tommy Hilfiger, designer Donna Karan, designer Marcus Wainwright, actress Mary-Kate Olsen, designer Marc Jacobs, designer Carolina Herrera attend the 2010 Fashion's Night Out Kick-Off press conference at City Hall - Blue Room on August 11, 2010 in New York City. (Photo by Larry Busacca/Getty Images for Conde Nast)

Yesterday New York City and the world witnessed the fiercest press conference ever. Anna Wintour and New York City Mayor, Mike Bloomberg, held a kick-off press conference for the second annual Fashion's Night Out. Anna brought some of her closest friends to join her in the press conference including, Donna Karan, Carolina Hererra, Mary-Kate Olsen, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang, Zac Posen, and many more fantabulous designers. All you needed was some ball gowns, cocktails and Lady Gaga and it would have been a Mini Met Ball!

FNO was created last year with Diane Von Furstenberg to get people into stores during the recession. This year's fashions night out is set to trump last year's event with nearly 1,000 stores (up from last year's 800) staying open until 11:00 p.m. on Friday, September 10th. This year's FNO will also be the subject of an hour long behind-the-scenes documentary set to air on CBS on Tuesday, September 14th and will also be featured on two episodes of "Gossip Girl." FNO and AW will also have the largest fashion show that has ever been held in the city at the new home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Lincoln Center.

All I know is that last year's FNO was one huge party! It happened on the first night of my big trip to NYC and now I live here! So many things have happened in only one year! I am looking forward to having another amazing time this year and spotting slash partying with some major celebs! (The O Twins?!)

Check out what I did during last year's FNO here. See you September 10th!!

Vera Wang Poisons Rachel Zoe... SORTA!

"I only want to kill Rachel when I don't land one of her fabulous clients for the Oscars!" says Vera Wang in the latest issue of Harper's Bazaar. The fashion magazine did an editorial spread featuring celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe about to be killed off by some killer designers. It all has to do with the fact that one of Zoe's signature catch phrases is "I Die!" She throws it out everytime she gets excited about something fab with fashion. They always say to watch what you say because it just might come true.

Take a look at some of the other pictures of Zoe getting taken out. (Maybe the designers are defending Taylor?)

Above: Rachel won't have to worry about bad hair days much longer after designer Marc Jacobs gets finished with her.

Taylor Lautner, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez Win Big In Teen Choice 2010 Fashion And Beauty Category

Cast members and celebrity fans alike flock to the screening of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse at the Crosby Hotel in NYC, NY on June 28, 2010. Pictured: Taylor Lautner Fame Pictures, Inc

The Teen Choice Awards 2010 had a FASHION AND BEAUTY category this year with categories including Choice Male Hottie, Choice Female Hottie, Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon- Female and Male and Choice Celebrity Fashion Line.

The Choice Male and Female hottie went to Taylor Lautner and Megan Fox. Launtner also won Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon-Male along with Selena Gomez who won Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon-Female. I have to give it to Taylor Lautner and his stylist! They usually dress him very well. (Although sometimes I think they can stop putting him in smedium sized clothes from the kids section) It is usually very chic and suave. Selena Gomez is just a personal fave out of all the teens that have sprouted out over the past couple of years. She is always dressed appropriate for her age and seems to have fun with what she is doing while remaining classy! I hope that she sticks with it!! She also won me over when she did a tribute to TEJANO LEGEND Selena Quintanilla-Pérez this past February in San Antonio, TX!!

Above: Selena Gomez works the carpet at the Teen Choice Awards 2010. If anyone older than her wore this I would probably hate it, but she is a teen so I will let it pass!

Choice Celebrity Fashion Line went to “Miley and Max,” Miley Cyrus for Max Azria. Now you know that I usually have funny but true things to say about Miley "Destiny Hope" Cyrus but I have to admit that she was smart for going with Max Azria on her line. Actually Max Azria was extremely smart for capitalizing on Miley's teen and tween fame AND selling the clothes at Wal-Mart. CHA-CHING for Miley and Max! I am all about these high end designers making lines for retailers like Target. I REALLY need the men's designers to hurry up and follow in their foot steps.

Above: Pop singer Miley "Destiny Hope" Cyrus and Designer Maz Azria in a campaign shot for their clothing line collaboration.

Congrats to all of the Fashion and Beauty Winners for 2010. I will probably be there next year so sorry you won't win again (we can hope)!

MSG Entertainment Knows How To Show Families A Good Time!

At the end of July I got to go see my first show at Madison Square Garden. It was not Gaga, Ri Ri or any other fierce pop stars but, it was still pretty fierce. The show that I got to see was Walking with Dinosaurs.

Above: Raptors prowl the arena looking for food in Walking with Dinosaurs.

The show is obviously meant for families but it was enough to captivate and inspire wonder in people of all ages. Natasha Huang who sat right next to me was holding on to me and her chair the entire time. The one thing we both wanted was the foam dino heads that all of the kids were wearing. I don't think Natasha would have been as scared had she been wearing one.

It was the perfect thing for families to do in NYC. I would warn that if you ever take your child to see this show, make sure they do not scare easily. Some smaller kids got very upset when the T-Rex roared at the end as it looked directly in the audience and the very load roar comes from the huge monster. (Natasha included ha ha) Also joining me to walk with the dinos was my fab publicist Sabrina Chapman who really enjoyed the special effect of the show.

Above: Mother and Baby T-Rex with the host of Walking with Dinosaurs in the middle.

Although the show is not playing currently, MSG Entrainment provides amazing entertainment for the entire family all year long. Yo Gabba Gabba! Live will be happening in October and the LEGENDARY Radio City Christmas Spectacular will start up on November 5th! I really hope I get to see that this year!

I am THRILLED to announce that designer, Rolando Santana, will be hosting Orange Juice and Biscuits' 1st Birthday Party on Tuesday August 31, 2010! Guests will be invited to help us celebrate with drinks, dresses and dessert! The drinks will be provided by refreshing 1947 Beer, the dessert will be from my FAVORITE cupcake place in the entire city, Crumbs Bake Shop and we will be surrounded by dresses by the one and only Rolando Santana in his beautiful midtown studio! I cannot believe that it has already been a year since I made the announcement that OJ&B was becoming a blog! It has been a crazy/amazing/fun/fab/fierce/exciting/fashionable first year! I remember sitting on my bed writing the post and hoping and wishing that he blog would take me on an exciting journey as a entertainment journalist. I could not have imagined that year one would have gone so well but I am so very thankful! I cannot wait to celebrate and to move forward with a very very exciting year two!!

Be on the lookout for your official invitation very soon!

So Haute: OJ&B In The Press!

I had so much fun at the Casio "Shock The World" event with Ke$ha this past Monday! I love going to amazing events and then seeing that you made some press just by being there and reporting! EXCULSIVE PICS: Up Close And Personal With Ke$ha At Casio Event!

Last night Casio hosted an AMAZING event at the Manhattan Center in New York City to announce the launch of their new watches for their lines G-Shock and Baby-G. They also announced their new watch line Edifice for the man who means business. New products mean new spokespeople and Casio has plenty!

L.A. Laker and husband to Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom, was on hand as a spokesperson for G-Shock along with skateboarder Stevie Williams. How to Make it In America star, Brian Greenberg, is the spokesman for the new Edifice line of watches and said that it is the only accessory that he wears. Then there was the star of the night, Ke$ha, who is the now the face for the new watches of Casio's Baby-G line. Casio said that Ke$ha is the first woman to be a spokeswoman for the Baby-G line that is not an athlete and I have to say that she looks beautiful in her campaign shots. The 'Tik Tok' singer announced at the press conference that she will have her own line of Baby-G watches with Casio that will debut in the Summer of 2011. To shoot down the rumors, Ke$ha totally looks like a normal sized girl in person. It is not her fault that Justin Beiber is a tiny guy!

After the press conference everyone was treated to AMAZING food and specialty drinks made with Absolut Vodka named after each of the watches. We were also treated to a killer performance by Ke$ha who brought the house down!

Above: Ke$ha singing a song about a guy named Stephen who won't call her back.

I was actually standing at the very front of the stage and Ke$ha and I had several moments where she would sing to me and we would get crunk together. She even handed me and my friends her drumsticks that she was using for her symbol and cowbell on stage. I gave them to my friend's friend who was a HUGE Ke$ha fan.

After seeing Ke$ha live I now want her album. Her voice is actually great live and she puts on a high energy, fun show filled with glitter galore! Casio truly knows how to put on a phenomenal and fun event. Everyone was getting crunk crunk!

Chelsea Clinton Reminds People Why Women Choose Vera Wang For Their Big Day!

Chelsea Clinton walks with Marc Mezvinsky after their wedding ceremony at Astor Court in Rhinebeck, New York July 31, 2010. Bill and Hillary Clinton's daughter married her long-time boyfriend in the picturesque New York village of Rhinebeck on Saturday in what has been dubbed America's royal wedding. Everyone is in a buzz over Chelsea Clinton's wedding gown (as the should be)! The now Chelsea Mezvinsky dazzled guest in a stunning strapless, raw-edged laser cut swirling silk organza Vera Wang ball skirt and train, with a silk tulle diagonally draped bodice accented by an embellished belt. Now I usually do not like a strapless wedding gown as I feel they are a bit "overdone" but Chelsea won me back with this amazing dress.

Vera Wang was a guest at the wedding and also designed all the bridesmaids' dresses, which were strapless bias cut lavender chiffon gowns with a side drape and contrasting plum bow. I wonder what it would feel like to watch your creations go down the aisle of so many epic weddings? Tell us Vera, OJ&B wants to know!

The groom wore a Burberry tux and the mother of the bride, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, looked lovely in Oscar de la Renta.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Chelsea and The Clinton family on there happy day! I had the chance to meet Chealsea when she was on the campaign trail for her mother in 2008. She was extremely poised and super intelligent. Keep doing your thing Chels and DO NOT worry about all those haters!
