University To Have Policy Against Sex While Roomie Is Present

Tufts University in Somerville, Massachusetts is laying down the law when it comes to laying down with others. There is a policy that calls for absolutely no sex in a dorm room while a roommate is in the dorm room. This policy was created after the school had several complaints about roommates sexing it up. REALLY? What is going on at Tufts? There was so much sexing while a roommate was present that enough complaints were filed to create a new policy? WOW... I think this is my don't act like that slash get your life together moment of the week. PEOPLE, GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER! Your school has to tell you not to be a hoochie while someone else is in the room! My favorite part of the story is that if you violate this rule you could face disciplinary action or lose your guest privileges. "Girl I wish you could come watch Gossip Girl but I kept sexin' while Erica was in the room and home girl told on me!" Some students wonder how this rule is going to be enforced. Well, obviously people can and will tell on you, but I think they should install hoochie alarms. If you are laying in bed trying to sleep before a big exam and your roommate decides to be dirty while you are in the room, simply push the hoochie alarm, and security will quickly come and take said hoochie into custody. "Girl you know they had to go to student court cause they kept creepin'." As always, What you do is your business, but when it comes to this... GET YOUR LIFE TOGETHER!

Friends, Fashion, Fun, and Music! Must Be in ATX!

This past Saturday I went to the Art & Fashion On First event in Austin, Texas. The event was celebrating the grand opening of Under Pressure Screen Printing Shop and Evny Clothing Boutique. There was music, food, friends, shopping, and so much more. My favorite part of the night was when the fashion show happened. One of my best friends, Julia Ferguson, worked the runway and was beyond fierce. Julia is fresh off of the runways of Austin Fashion Week where she modeled for Project Runway's Kayne during the Austin Fashion Awards. She was born to model and was totally giving it to the crowd on the runway!

Above: Julia Ferguson shows the crowd her fab frock and does a little turn on the catwalk.

I was loving the hair by Frenchie's Beauty Parlor. They captured the personality of each model perfectly. Everyone involved in the show seemed to have a great time, including one model who gave me one of my favorite shots of the night.

The event was put together by the wonderfully talented Mairin Heard who did a sensational job! Congrats Boo! The event was fantastic and the turnout was amazing!

Allison Parris Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show!

The Allison Parris Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show was my favorite show that I saw during fashion week. The designs had a great vintage feel to them while using interesting textures and shapes to keep things modern and fresh. I really enjoyed how all of the looks were pulled together on the models, especially the hair by Mario Diab. I love a good retro do!

The music was also extremely good! Kudos to Josch Chodakowsky for having the perfect mix for the show. It was stuff like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy slowed down a bit and mixed with a hip hop beat. I want a copy of the music for the soundtrack of my life.

At the show I spotted Alex from The Real Housewives of New York City and met the lovely Stefani Vara, who is an up and coming recording artist from Texas!

Congratulations Allison Parris on your beautiful Spring/Summer 2010 collection! It was a treat to see the pieces on the runway.

I Got More Blogtox!

I was minding my own business when out of nowhere my friend Tyler Wallach, of the blog Glitterhorse, popped up on my facebook messenger and informed me that my header needed a make over! Now I had blogtox once before (the orig blog looked pretty bleh), but I agreed that I needed something more me. I told him my style and BAM! He created the masterpiece that is now my wonderfully vintage header! It was like I was on an episode of What Not To Wear Blog edition and he was my Stacey London! Thanks again Tyler for helping my blog look fierce! Be sure to check out his blog Glitterhorse, and maybe if you talk with him he can help you out too! He has a blog up right now featuring a lady with Super Mario Bros. 3 nails. NO LIE! Go check it out!

MTV News, Kanye, Tay Swift, and Me!

When I attended a taping of It's On With Alexa Chung, MTV News asked if I wanted to talk about the whole Tanye thing. After thinking about if for less than a second I said YES! I have ALWAYS wanted to work slash be on MTV so this was really fun for me! The clip is really short, but I like the part of my interview that they used. For now I can just gaze at the picture of me holding the iconic MTV News mic and pretend that I work there. Sigh! P.S. I love that it was called the "OH SNAP! Poll." Seems like the perfect poll for me to partake in.

Encore Magazine Celebrates Fall Perfoming Arts Season!

While In New York I had the honor of attending the Encore Magazine party celebrating the fall performing arts season. The arts have always been very close to my heart so I was very excited to attend the event! Feeling very posh and Sex and The City, the event was held at the DJT Fine Art Gallery in Chelsea. Guests mingled and enjoyed drinks by Campari and delicious hors d' oeuvres by Chef Jose Gonzalez who also raffled off his services for a private dinner. The Mark Rapp Group provided lovely jazz music getting everyone into the spirit of fall. Thanks Encore Magazine for the lovely night in New York!

Bring It On The Musical? Oh It's Already Been Broughten!

So my good friend Louise reported to me that Bring It On is being made into a musical!! Now I have been tweeting and saying for a while now that I really want to watch Bring It On the movie but I only have it on VHS. I guess someone heard me and said, "It's cool Jonathan, we will just make it into a musical for you." Yes, Please and THANK YOU! Now some of the naysayers might be thinking that this would be a horrible musical. WRONG! When I saw the words Bring It On and Musical I immediately thought MAGIC. Here is he proof. Broadwayworld.com reports that the creative team for this cheersical is going to be made up of an award winning team:

"The award-winning creative team for Bring It On: The Musical includes an array of talented and innovative individuals drawn from the top ranks of the Broadway Theatre World. Andy Blankenbuehler (Tony Award-winning choreographer for In The Heights) will direct and choreograph. Jeff Whitty (Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical for Avenue Q) will write the book. Bring It On: The Musical will feature music by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Tony Award winner for In the Heights) and Tom Kitt (Tony Award winner for Next to Normal), and lyrics by Amanda Green (High Fidelity). Tony Award winner Alex Lacamoire (In The Heights, Wicked) will serve as orchestrator, arranger and music supervisor." - Broadwayworld.com

The only thing that would make this better is if I were cast as an East Compton Clover! The producers are hoping for a developmental regional production in early 2011. P.S. I hope they keep this scene. It is one of my favorites and I randomly say it from time to time. Also Bring It On is the best movie Kirsten Dunsts has ever done, second only to Drop Dead Gorgeous!

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2010 & My Red Carpet Face Off!

I had the pleasure of attending the Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2010 Presentation during fashion week showcasing Rebecca Minkoff's Ready-to-Wear and accessories. The venue was great and she show was beautiful. Rebecca Minkoff was showing a lot of clean lines for Spring 2010 and was loving black and white. One of my favorite things that she did was an outfit that had a pointed shoulder.

She also showcased a floral print that was pretty. A good floral print will always remind me of the 90's though. It makes me think of Kelly Kapowski. You know she would totally rock this dress.

Congrats Rebecca Minkoff on your Spring 2010 line!

That being said, let's talk CELEBS! I know that's what you want to know. Who was there Jonathan? Tell me! So I had heard that the girls from The Hills were going to be there but I was not expecting to see Lauren Conrad. That's right people. I was so The Hills that day because I was at a fashion show with LC. I tried to get a picture but she was flying out the door via her publicist. (She seemed really nice though). So I could not resist doing this because it is not everyday that I get to work the same red carpet that Lauren Conrad does. So it is time to play a little game called, Who Rocked The Carpet Better? Me or LC? You decide!

Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina from Gossip Girl and/or Harriet The Spy) Showed up as well. Here she is with designer Rebecca Minkoff (in white).

All in all this was an amazing event/show/time. I leave you with this cool photo of the Orbitz Gum people in brilliant clothing!

I saw it ALL outside of Radio City Music Hall!

The MTV Video Music Awards took place while I as in NYC, so naturally I went to see all of the red carpet arrivals! When I walked up all of the surrounding streets were packed with people. I finally found a place on the side of Radio City and I actually got to see some pretty cool stuff. The first person I saw was Jimmy Fallon of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon and SNL fame.

He walked from the NBC studios that are located right across the street from The Radio City Music Hall. Sean Paul and Katy Perry walked by that same area but my pictures of them are blurry. After a little more waiting the red carpet arrivals started and they just started getting better as the night went through. All American Rejects came on a parade float with a full marching band playing "Gives you Hell"

Taylor Swift showed up in a white horse and carriage and Gaga came with Kermit The Frog. I think my favorite had to be seeing Pink arrive to the red carpet on a NYC fire truck. It was really fun tweeting about all of the arrivals before they showed up on television. The only bad thing about the spot I was standing in was that I could only see the back of the celeb's heads. It was like I was watching a SNL skit where they could not find cast members that looked like the celebs so they just showed their backs. I would hear the names being called and all I would see is hair. It was still amazing though. I also got to witness the Taylor Swift performance. The extras, dancers, and taxi cabs for that performance were waiting outside long before the awards even started. Watching the red carpet arrivals was definitely one of the highlights of my NYC trip. Next year I am going for an actual seat inside!!

Sorry, I was in NYC!

I hope you know that there is only one thing that could keep me from my blog and that is a trip to New York City! Not only was I in the city, but I was in the city during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week AND the MTV Video Music Awards!! I was on celebrity overload and I loved EVERY minute of it. I promise I have tons of NYClicous posts to make it up to all of you! Let's start with the first big event of the week!
To Kick off Mercedes Benz Fashion Week 2009, Vogue and the city of New York held Fashion's Night Out. In case you did not hear, fashions night out was a huge city and world wide party that encouraged people to come out, rub elbows with celebs, be fierce, and of course shop! It was the perfect start to Fashion Week. There were literally hundreds of parties going on that night but I choose to hang out with my friends, Doucette Duvall, at the Vogue Alumni House. The party was put together by Vogue Alumni who now have their own fashion lines, like my friend Annebet Duvall, who is a former assistant to the legendary Andre Leon Tally. The hosts were none other than Brad Goreski from Bravo's The Rachel Zoe Project and fashion writer Derek Blasberg. I had the chance to meet Brad at the party and he was nothing but nice! I cannot say enough good things about him.
I told Brad that I loved the show and he let me know that Taylor Jacobson, also from The Rachel Zoe Project, was stopping by a little later. I tried to act like I was not uber excited and continued to have a blast. As the night went on supermodel/actor/singer Tyson Beckford popped into the party. All I could think of for some reason was Zoolander. I loved how he walked in with a huge entourage of guys and girls. Of course I had to walk up to a couple of the 12 girls that walked in behind Tyson to tell them how fierce they were. Can you imagine if that was your job? To walk into parties with people? "Hey Girl, I have 13 parties to walk into tonight but I'll let you know if I am still up for drinks." Then I finally met Taylor and she was extremely sweet, down to earth, and beautiful in person. I have to admit that my opinion of Tay changed as soon as I met her. I can totally see her being a really good friend of mine.
So that wraps up my first night of NYC. I met a ton of amazing people at the party and had a great time. I like to think of it as a huge welcome to New York City party that was held just for me. What? It could have been, right?

Charo Makes Jerry Lewis' Labor Day Telethon ¡Caliente! Work it Mija!

I have always LOVED LOVED LOVED María Rosario Pilar Martínez Molina Moquiere de les Esperades Santa Ana Romanguera y de la Najosa Rasten aka Charo! Her performance yesterday on Jerry Lewis' annual Labor Day Telethon just made me love her that much more! Never one to not entertain, Charo got extremely crunk when she pumped out her version on "Please Don't Stop the Music" by Rhianna! Now I love me some RI RI but I am not going to lie, I REALLY like Charo's version no joke! I think it is because her accent always makes me smile. My favorite part of this performance is when she starts twerkin' it on Jerry Lewis and then goes and gets crunk with the audience. You have to remember that Charo is 58 and she was jumping all over the place. WORK IT MIJA! Also, I would DIE to get crunk with Charo to "Please Don't Stop The Music" in Espanol! I was so jealous of those audience members! This is what is going to happen on my next visit to the club. ME: Hey DJ can you play "Please Don't Stop The Music?" DJ: By Rhianna? ME: HELL NAH! By CHARO! Just sayin'! If Charo covers Britney I can die happy! P.S. How diva status is her long ass real name? I am adding on to mine asap!

Britney Beat: Britney Kills It With Her Live Version of "You Oughta Know !"

The legendary Ms. Britney Spears gave her Greensboro North Carolina fans a huge treat when she sang a live version of Alanis Morissette's 1995 hit "You Oughta Know," from one of my favorite albums Jagged Little Pill! As soon as I hard about this from my friend slash fellow celeb enthusiast, April from PA, I HAD TO WATCH IT! In my opinion, Britney KILLED this song! For those of you who may be to lame to realized, when I say she "killed it" I mean she rocked my life! And of course her body is banging in her 'kini top, denim vest and black leggings. The thing I like best about this video is that there is no doubt that she is 100% singing live. Take that haters! This is just one more thing that proves that Britney is the Truth. I really Hope she does a surprise performance at the VMA's this Sunday! Now get ready to watch Britney cover Alanis. Don't for get to leave you comments and tell me what you think!

'Kini Clad Kardashian Twitpics!

Last week a 'kini clad Kim Kardashian uploaded a picture of herself from the set of her Quick Trim photo shoot. I know this because the caption of the photo said, "A sneak peek at our Quick Trim photo shoot!" All I have to say about this is... GET IT IN YO 'KINI KIM! I really can't hate on the girl because I mean look at her! She looks smokin'. Although I always thought that she looked hot before she did the whole quick trim situation. It sort of look like she is saying "Jealous?" like she does at the beginning of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." I guess this is OK because she is in the public eye. Now as for you other girls sending pics like this thinking it's cute... WELL. I won't go into it because you are the same girls that are going to be posting pics of yourselfs in boots with tha fur and shorty shorts come winter time. Which brings me to my next thought. For most, Kini's will start to be on the decline as today is Labor day and Fall is coming up hot on all of us! So I will use Kim's 'Kini pic to bid adieu to Summer 2009. Peace out Summer 2009! Thanks for bringing us The Monokini!

Broadway Royalty Has A Baby Boy!

Broadway power couple Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs are billed to star as the proud parents of their baby boy Walker, born September 2nd. The couple met in 1996 while originating the roles of Maureen and Benny in the Broadway classic "Rent." I am really happy for both of them! They seem like they are a really cool and hip couple that would be awesome parents. I wonder what it is like to have Broadway/t.v./film actors as your parents? Their child will probably grown up and dominate on Broadway starring in a revival of Rent and or Wicked. (Sorry I had to be a theatre nerd for a second!) I was looking for a pictures of them for this post and I noticed that they are a really stylish couple. I like seeing couples that both dress well and compliment each other. Once again congrats on your new bundle of joy and PLEASE hit the stage again soon!

Until then, we can piece together who is in the movie and what happens by the tons of pictures from the set that are sure to come. The film is suppose to be highly anticipated but I wanted to know what YOU think! I am going to start adding polls about certain topics and I felt that SATC2 would be a perfect start! With September Comes Whitney's Comeback!

Whitney Houston performed in Cental Park today for a concert that will air tomorrow on Good Morning America. She performed her new stuff and even took it back with "I'm Every Woman." If you want to see WA WA WA Whitney come back (hopefully with a bang) then you can tune into GMA tomorrow at 7/8am Central. I always wanted to say that for some reason. Now that Whitney is singing again, the world can go back to normal. It could happen lol.

Tyra Not TYing the knot!

Tyra Banks tweeted about all those rumors that she is getting married to her boyfriend John Utendahl this past Monday. Here is what Banks TYweeted:

@tryabanks : Hearing about crazy rumors that I'm engaged. Well, I'm not. The "RING" is my high school class ring. It's 10k gold, and has zero diamonds.Ha!

That's right! Tyra still sports her class ring and what? I think she should also sport her letterman jacket too! I wonder what kind of patches it would have on it? A fierce patch, a top model patch, a patch for varsity eye smiling. Who knows?

What if she is already married and we just don't know? Celebs are sneaky like that! Do people think I am married when I wear my TX State ring? Hmmm....

Any who, Thanks for clearing that up Tyra!
